Frequently asked questions and answers

Each driver should carry when driving not only a driving license and vehicle registration certificate, but also an insurance certificate. This document ensures that the injured party will receive compensation if you get into a fender bender that causes damage to property or health. An electronic insurance certificate has the same legal force as a paper one, so you can issue car insurance online. This is not only faster and more convenient, but also cheaper.
The electronic CTP insurance policy is the same car insurance certificate familiar to drivers in paper form but issued in a digital format. It holds the same legal force as the traditional document. The electronic version of the document is issued online: a PDF document is generated, and, after filling in all the data, is sent to the client's email. You can store the policy directly on your smartphone and present it in electronic form when necessary.

Documents required for issuing a car insurance for individuals:

  • Taxpayer Identification Code.
  • Passport or driver's license.
  • Vehicle registration certificate.

If you are an individual, you don't need copies of documents when applying for insurance through our service. It is enough to go through identification using BANK ID, and the system will pull the data. Also, you will need a bank card for payment.

Documents required for issuing a car insurance for legal entities:

  • Certificate of registration of a legal entity / an extract from the Unified State Register.
  • Vehicle registration certificate.
  • Certificate of inclusion in EDRPOU.

To obtain a car license as a legal entity, you will need scanned copies or photos of the documents listed above.

An insurance deductible is a fixed monetary amount that the driver pays out of pocket when an insured event occurs. The insurance company is relieved of its obligation to compensate for these expenses. The deductible amount is specified in the insurance policy. If the deductible is low or zero, the policy will be more expensive.

According to the Law of Ukraine "On Compulsory Insurance of Civil Liability of Owners of Land Vehicles", police officers have the right to demand an insurance certificate in the following cases:

  • When registering a traffic accident involving a driver.
  • When drawing up a protocol for a driver's violation of traffic rules.

You can present either a traditional paper document or an electronic policy to the patrol police. It's enough to show the digital version on the smartphone screen. The electronic policy holds the same legal force as the printed one. Whether to additionally carry a paper document is up to the driver to decide.

Usually, the validity period of car insurance is 12 months. You can issue a new insurance policy 3 months before the expiration of the previous one or later.

In some cases, the validity period of the insurance policy is 15 days:

  • If the driver is temporarily in Ukraine and is registered in another country.
  • If the driver has not undergone registration or is using temporary vehicle registration.
